Top Vastu Interior Design Tips by Pais Design Studio

Elegant hall interior with custom furniture by expert designers

At Pais Design Studio, we understand that a home is more than just four walls — it’s a space
that should nurture harmony, positivity, and energy. By blending the age-old wisdom of
Vastu Shastra with contemporary interior design, we help you create homes that are both
beautiful and balanced.
One of the first Vastu principles we focus on is the entrance placement. A North or Eastfacing entrance is considered highly auspicious, welcoming prosperity and positivity into
your home. We design entryways that are well-lit, energy-aligned, and aesthetically pleasing
— using elements like wooden doors, brass accents, and natural plants to create a vibrant first
impression.
The living room, ideally located in the North or East zone, should feel spacious and inviting.
Our approach includes placing heavier furniture pieces in the South-West and lighter
elements in the East, along with clutter-free layouts, sheer curtains, and calming décor to
encourage interaction and relaxation.
When it comes to the master bedroom, placing it in the South-West corner ensures stability
and restful sleep. We recommend orienting the bed with the head facing South or East and
designing the room using earthy color palettes, cozy textures, and concealed lighting to foster
peace and comfort.
For the kitchen, the South-East zone — representing the Fire element — is most suitable.
The stove should ideally be placed in the East and the water source in the North-East. Our
designs balance tradition and modern functionality by integrating modular layouts that honor
these Vastu principles.
The home office or study room works best in the North-East or West direction, with the
desk oriented so that you face East or North while working. We ensure such spaces are
equipped with ergonomic furniture, ample lighting, and neutral tones to improve focus and
productivity.
Importantly, following Vastu doesn’t mean compromising on style. At Pais Design Studio,
we seamlessly integrate modern Vastu design with visual aesthetics — using color
psychology aligned with room function, incorporating indoor plants and mirrors for energy
flow, customizing furniture layouts, and maintaining ample natural light and airflow. We also
strategically add artistic touches, brass decor, and water features to elevate the space.
With every project, our goal remains the same to design homes that feel good, function well,
and radiate positive energy.
